Thirteen and Engaging

Updated: Mar 1, 2022

I logged onto Facebook today, and this memory made me smile from ear to ear. It made me appreciate the importance of creating and keeping all forms of written documentation. I know there would be no way to remember this story had I not recorded it, even on social media. This memory helped me reflect on where I was nine years ago on this day. It helped me appreciate the history I have of my passion for celebrating the awesomeness of children.

As I reflect on this memory, it’s evident that children enrich our lives with new information and laughter, whether three or thirteen. They are open to learning and growing and invite us to do the same if we so desire. They give us opportunities to reflect and think out of the box.

My takeaway from this memory story is to keep engaging children in conversations through their stages of development. To provide them with appropriate information and resources to help spark their creativity, imagination, and interest.

Charles R said, “Each day of our lives, we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.”

Celebrate Children. Pass is on.
