What an achievement to earn the #1 New Releases in Sibling Relationships badge. How did I find out? On Friday, December 30th, I was at home, sitting on the couch after a hard day, minding my business, hoping the feelings would pass. Then suddenly, my cell phone beeped, and a text came through. I picked it up to check, and it was from my dear friend and fellow author, Amy Martinsen. We met last summer in a writing group, American Night Writers Association, ANWA, and he has since become my mentor.
She wrote, "Hey, did you see this??? You are Number One!!!!!" I read the text and responded, "What? I had no idea. Can I call you?"
Amy called me immediately, helping me to celebrate with shouts of JOY on the phone. I'm new in my authorship and had no idea what to expect after publishing." I went on Amazon to buy your book and found out." Amy said with excitement.
Had Amy not reached out to lend her support in purchasing my book, I would have spent the night away on the couch without knowing this first-time achievement. I felt so loved to know a fellow author was watching out for me. It felt terrific to belong and be a part of something—cheers to Amy and this #1 New Release badge.
